A purple core thread wrapped with a fine purple filament for goldwork and embroidery projects. This purple 371 thread is finer than Japanese thread and more like a fine passing thread.

To use, couch down with a strong sewing thread at even intervals (about every 2-3mm) in pairs. The ends will need to be 'plunged' through to the back and finished off (see goldwork video 4, here).
